The San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) 

is excited to host the 2nd annual Women's Leadership Conference in San Antonio, TX

 

The National Association of Women in Construction has been dedicated to one core purpose of enhancing the success of women in construction since it was founded in 1955. Through the years NAWIC has proven itself to be a creditable source of education and opportunity for women all over the United States.

The enthusiasm and strength of the San Antonio Chapter lead to the first annual Women's Leadership Conference last year called "Breaking Boundaries - Women Take the Lead". With the success of last year's conference, the chapter will be bringing the exciting opportunity back to the San Antonio community featuring keynote speakers Jennifer Webb & Patsy Foxworth.

Ms. Webb is an internationally renowned motivation speaker, author, consultant, trainer, and coach in various topics related to communication and professional growth.

Ms. Foxworth’s passion as a coach, trainer and inspirational speaker helping professionals grow and be more sucessful.

Judge McElhaney was appointed by Governer Perry on December 28, 2009, and took the bench in January 2010 handling civil matters pending in district court in Bexar County, TX.

Last year at the "Breaking Boundaries - Women Take the Lead" not only was there an awesome keynote speaker but, we brought professional, successful, and lively women to talk about their professional experiences and answer audience questions. This was such a success that we are bringing this experience back as part of the conference this year. These professional and successful ladies will be sharing their experiences along with answering questions provided by you, the attendees. Dr. Moody joins this conference with over 20 years of successful experiences. She brings with her a problem-solving toolbox that is focused, fun, and forward moving for those she serves. Her major foundation is integrity and EXCELLENCE in everything she does. Dr. Moody is an author, busines owner, and a life-long learner.

 

Kathy-blur Kathy Acock

Kathleen "Kathy" Acock is the second generation owner of Alpha Building Corporation, a company founded by her parents in 1970. Ms. Acock is a pioneer in the system of Job Order Contracting, recognizing the efficiencies it offered clients and the opportunities it offered to Alpha. Ms. Acock has been honored by both the National Association of Women Business Owners and the San Antonio Business Journal for her leadership skills and commitment to business ethics and values. Alpha has also been honored by the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health and the University of Texas at San Antonio as a winner of the 2008 Ethics in Business Award.

 

Judy  Judy DeWeese

CBT, CIT, Mauze' Construction Corporation, is the national president of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). DeWeese encourages all women to find their passion and pursue their goal - not letting obstacles stand in the way. She believes that we must learn from every setback and move forward with the strength of our convictions. DeWeese is an integral part of the Mauze' Construction team and has helped the team build the company to be a leader in the high-end, contract, custom home market in San Antonio.
